Center Cherishing for NKT Day

Sat, April 5: 10 am – 12 pm

Let’s cherish our beautiful meditation center! It’s good karma, that means we accumulate merit and receive blessings by helping out. Join us to help make the center a beautiful and welcoming place for everyone who attends. You can stop by for 1/2 hour or however long you have time and we will have something for you to do.

What is NKT Day?

The first Saturday in April is set aside to commemorate the founding of The New Kadampa Tradition, International Kadampa Buddhist Union NKT-IKBU by Venerable Geshe Kelsang in 1991. The occasion is marked by special events and by pujas and dedications at Kadampa centers worldwide.

We can dedicate our efforts cherishing our local Dharma Center in Fort Lauderdale to the flourishing of Kadam Dharma throughout the world so that all living beings might quickly find permanent inner peace. Above all, we remember the extraordinary kindness of Venerable Geshe Kelsang in founding NKT-IKBU.

Let’s have fun while we are volunteering together.
Just stop by.
