Offering Our Faith Retreat

Wed, June 4: 10 am – 4:30 pm

Every day we remember the extraordinary kindness of Venerable Geshe-la, our Root Guru and Founder of the New Kadampa Tradition, but on this auspicious day, with minds of rejoicing and gratitude, we will offer him our faith by reciting the special prayer, Request to the Holy Spiritual Guide Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso from His Faithful Disciples and by collecting our Guru’s name mantra in a one-day retreat.

There will be three sessions of retreat using the sadhana, The Hundreds of Deities of the Joyful Land According to Highest Yoga Tantra and the special request prayer.

Session times:

10 am – 11:15 am
(Note: The noontime meditation class will be held at 12 pm)
1:15 pm – 2:30 pm
3:00 pm – 4:30 pm

Offering to the Spiritual Guide puja

7 pm – 8:30 pm

Then in the evening at 7 pm – 8:30 pm we will celebrate with Offering to the Spiritual Guide puja (chanted prayers) with special food offerings; you can bring a vegetarian food offering.

Everyone is welcome to take part. You can attend any of these sessions as you wish. This retreat is self guided and free.
