The Peace of Wisdom
Training in Tranquil Abiding on Emptiness

Saturday Silent Day Retreat with Resident Teacher Gen Jindak
Sat, Aug 16: 10 am – 2:30 pm

On this silent Saturday in three sessions Gen Jindak will guide simple meditations on ultimate truth, emptiness when we can deepen our understanding of, and most importantly, our experience contemplating and meditating on this liberating wisdom.

Only the mental peace that arises from wisdom is real happiness. Let’s get some experience with meditation on emptiness.

A silent retreat is an unequaled opportunity to become aware of the peaceful nature of your mind. Through utilizing silence, clear and accessible instructions on how to meditate, and the support of meditating in a group, your practice will deepen tremendously. The last session of the retreat will include a discussion with time for a question and answer session to help you crystalize what you would like to bring with you from the retreat into your daily life.

This retreat will give us the confidence to train in meditation on Buddha’s wisdom teachings and gradually make progress to perfect our concentration and wisdom. No previous experience is necessary, just a willingness to unplug from ordinary activities for a few hours and let your mind relax into these profound meditations.
