“Being accepted feels very different from being judged. When someone feels judged, they automatically become tight and defensive, but when they feel accepted they can relax, and this allows their good qualities to come to the surface.” – Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, How to Solve Our Human Problems

Believing in yourself is one of the most important things in any area of life. The reason why people sometimes lack confidence is a result of over-identifying with their failures and imperfections. Of course we’re not perfect; that’s the human condition, so we have to learn how to be confident in our potential, in spite of our present imperfections. This retreat will introduce meditations and ways of thinking to help us stop identifying with the negative, and to have faith in who we can be, based on traditional Buddhist teachings and techniques.

Registration Policy: If you cancel 24 hours prior to the start of the event we will refund all except 25%. If you cancel on, or after, the event, no refunds are given. Exceptions may be made in circumstances such as sickness or bereavement; you should apply by e-mail to ad@meditateinfortlauderdale.org within 2 weeks of the end of the Event. Any non-refunded fees arising from cancellations are donated to the NKT-IKBU International Temples Project.
