“What is the purpose of deliberately generating joy? It is so that we shall take full advantage of our present opportunity.” – Joyful Path of Good Fortune, Geshe Kelsang Gyatso

We all want to be happy, but would you describe your daily experience as truly joyful? What is it that gives some people the ability to deeply enjoy their lives, even when they are going through difficult times, or having to live with significant challenges? In this talk, our Eastern US National Spiritual Director, Kadam Morten, will share with us special ways of thinking and different ways of looking at things so that we can maintain a truly joyful outlook, regardless of our external circumstances.

Kadam Morten Clausen has been a close disciple for over 30 years of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, who gave him the title “Kadam,” indicating that he is a senior lay teacher of the Kadampa Tradition. Kadam Morten has been teaching in the US for more than 20 years and has established centers throughout the New York area, as well as Washington DC, Virginia, and Puerto Rico. In addition to his local teaching responsibilities, he teaches and guides retreats regularly throughout the United States and Europe.
