Mantra, Meditation & Mala-Making Workshop

Sat, Dec 7:  10 am – 1 pm
Guided workshop with Buddhist nun Gen Jindak

This workshop provides an introduction to the practice of mantra meditation with advice on how we can use recitation of mantras to improve our love, compassion and wisdom. Mantra meditation is something we can practice at any time and brings many powerful benefits to our life. It connects us with the good qualities of the enlightened mind and helps us to realize our highest spiritual potential.

During this event you will also have the opportunity to learn the traditional Buddhist method for making and using a mala. If you have time, when you are done with your own mala; you can make another as a donation to the Center (at no cost to you, using the materials provided but not to take home).

A mala is a string of beads used to count prayers or mantra recitations. For sincere practitioners, their mala is a very precious and meaningful object. During this workshop, you’ll have a chance to create your very own personal mala. Everyone is welcome, no prior experience is needed.
