When things go wrong in our life and we encounter difficult situations, we tend to regard the situation itself as our problem, but in reality whatever problems we experience come from the side of the mind. If we were to respond to difficult situations with a positive or peaceful mind they would not be problems for us; indeed, we may even come to regard them as challenges or opportunities for growth and development. Problems arise only if we respond to difficulties with a negative state of mind. Therefore, if we want to be free from problems, we must transform our mind. According to Buddha, stress does not come from external situations but rather from our response to them. In other words, it comes from our mind. May Series: I’m not Happy! What am I Doing Wrong?!
We often ask ourselves this question after we’ve set ourselves up with all of the comforts we thought we would need to be happy…a well paying job that we enjoy, comfortable living conditions, a successful relationship or two etc. We often think we are doing something wrong, or worse, that something is wrong with us when we continue to feel dissatisfied and unhappy in spite of all of the external “wealth” we have accumulated. In this four-week course we will explore the true nature of our dissatisfaction and learn new ways of thinking that will empower us to create the inspired life we often wish we had.
Everyone is welcome – regardless of background or experience!

Meditations to Make Our Life Happy and Meaningful
This series is a practical guide to meditation that teaches us how to develop inner peace and make our lives more meaningful. Without inner peace there is no real happiness at all. Problems, suffering and unhappiness do not exist outside the mind; they are feelings and thus part of our mind. Therefore, it is only by controlling our mind that we can permanently stop our problems and make ourself and others truly happy.
