Anger: Power or Poison? | June 6 – June 27

Anger can destroy our health, our relationships, and certainly our happiness.  Why do we get angry?  What is the cause of our anger and what is the solution?  Can we be a powerful agent of change without anger?  In Buddha’s teachings we can find methods to free ourselves from this agitated, distorted state of mind, and learn how to harness the power of clarity, compassion and wisdom.

The Confidence to Change | July 11 – Aug 15

The purpose of engaging in Buddhist meditation practice is to bring about positive change – letting go of painful states of mind and cultivating love, compassion, and wisdom. But if our practice lacks confidence, we will not experience real transformation.  In this series we will learn how to overcome a limited view of ourselves and apply Buddha’s teachings on The Perfection of Effort to empower our practice with joy and the confidence to change.
