Dealing with Difficult People
Retreat with Resident Teacher Gen Jindak
Sat, May 16: 10 am – 12:45 pm
Dealing with people is a big part of our lives. We all have those people: some who are deliberately hurtful or obstructive, others who just seem blind to our feelings. And even with those we love, often our wishes differ, our opinions clash, our priorities are at odds, so conflicts build and we can feel like another person is making us stressed and miserable.
Buddha explains clear methods for taking control and realizing that we can change our relationship with others by changing the way we view them. In this morning retreat Gen Jindak will help us to identify and develop special attitudes and mental skills which protect us from being upset, irritated or hurt by other people. And, as there is no way we can avoid people, these are skills we definitely need.
Join us to enjoy these powerful meditations for viewing others more constructively that will enable us to respond to what they do more effectively.
